Irish Castles in Cork And Beyond

Just as there is more to see than the Stone of Eloquence at the Blarney Castle in Cork, there are more castles to be seen in Ireland other than Blarney Castle. If you have chosen to stay at one of the hotels in Cork and have the freedom to travel further, you may be interested in venturing a couple of hours in either direction from Blarney Castle and see what lies there. To the west is Ross Castle in Killarney, a 15th-century structure featuring 16th and 17th century oak furniture. To the east are the remains of Dunhill Castle in Waterford, and a yet a little further east is Johnston Castle in Wexford, a 19th century building complete with Gothic style, including gargoyles.
