Appliances

I am making my first trip into Australia and the first place I am staying is in Melbourne. I realize that country speaks a kind of English I am sure to understand and even though there is a high population of Asian people I am sure I can get by on English. What I am concerned about is the electrical setups. I have of course everything set for the United States codes and compliances but I am not sure if everything will work over there in the Melbourne hotels. Are the hotels all set up for American appliances and computer gadgets?
