Your windows registry is a very important part of your windows system. It holds data about all software and hardware on your machine. The downfall is that it sometimes holds onto data about programs and items that are no longer associated with your computer, meaning that it can become a lot bigger file then it needs to be in a hurry. While some do a better job then others, you can often find a program that will offer a free scan and test prior to paying to use it.
