BT Total Broadband provides upgraded Hub Box
BT, as a piece of their Total Broadband service, has updated its capabilities, improving the technologies used to access the networks. The Home Hub wireless box, which was previously vulnerable to hackers, has been upgraded to support the use of 802.11n capacity and WPA security for wireless protection. The technology serves as a wireless router and DECT phone cradle, a dual technology for use with communications.According to reports, the box was previously dotted with various deficiencies, which often compromised user security. The previous version was released in September 2007, during a major stage in the development of broadband UK. Since then, three more holes had been found in the unit, one being a lack of security presets. The updated Home Hub is ready for “out of the box” use, constructed for easy consumer installment. The added wireless capacity will yield higher speeds, meeting the demands of consumers. According to assessments, the range has been almost doubled.Additionally, the unit comprises various features of convenience, which provide users with many trendy capabilities. The unit can easily power down its residential system, conserving power when the internet is not being used. Those who use this feature will decrease consumption substantially, possibly up to 20 percent.Customers who enroll in BT’s unlimited package will receive the upgraded Home Hub box, as part of the service they receive.
