The Fun Began When my Daughter Learned to Read
I am a book lover and was determined that my child would be, too. Almost as soon as I brought my daughter Eliza home from the hospital I began reading to her. Sometimes it did get a little tedious reading to an infant, but she seemed to calm down and become interested as I showed her pictures and words. However, it all began to become fun when she turned four and decided she wanted to learn to read books by herself. From that day on we began having lively discussions about what she read and we really never stopped. Eliza is thirty now and we still call each other for our weekly “book reports”.
