I need to learn how to write a cover letter!

So here’s the deal.  I need to get a job.  I’m sick of working at places that are on the bottom rung, so I need to learn how to write a cover letter and a resume so I can get a better job.  Hopefully, it won’t take me too long to work it out.  The hard part will be assembling all of the facts.  The format and template shouldn’t be too hard. But the thought of remembering all of the little tidbits of information that make up my "professional" history gives me a headache.  Here goes.
