I work at a foreign exchange bank and I have all kinds a questions come at me everyday. The most frequently asked question is whether or not people should exchange money before or after they make it to their foreign destination. I always tell them that they should do it before. The type of bank that I work at can offer better exchange rates than most. I also advice people to get travelers cheques since they are easily cancelled if lost or stolen. I enjoy seeing people excited about their foreign currency before they are even on a plane for their destination.
