The smell of Lockers

I have a friend who after college went off to be in the armed forces. I never thought she would do something like that, but she did and loves it. She has traveled all over the world and experienced so much stuff in a short time. I asked her what it was like and she said that it was a lot like high school sports but way more intense and without the smell of school lockers. She was partially joking, because she actually does have a locker with her home on it, and a place that she puts all her stuff.
