The Roman Empire
In school I was fascinated with the Roman Empire. I decided to visit Rome to see the country side from which this Empire grew. The hotels Rome has for you to stay in no way resemble the grandeur of a royal Roman estate but they are nice by modern day standards. I was fascinated to find some high ground and look over the vast city of Rome. The Roman citizen may not look like the warriors of the past as I imagined them to but they do carry themselves with a pride only the descendants of such an empire could.
