Who should buy these?

I have been looking into all of the different types of refrigerators available, trying to decide which type of refrigerator I would like to have. I think I like the regular size refrigerators with water and ice dispensers the best so far. I recently heard about something called a built in refrigerator, and I am wondering exactly what this is and how it is different than other refrigerators. Who should buy built in refrigerators? I am sure they are manufactured for people in certain circumstances, and I am trying to figure out whether this would be something we would want or not.
