The Rain Barrel Planter Provided No Net Loss In Growing Area

When I first told my wife that I was considering installing a rain barrel to water our flowers from she pointed out that I would be putting it right in the middle of her flower bed.  She was totally right.  What I did was buy a rain barrel planter that came with a planter on top of the barrel.   Then all we had to do was raised the level of her flower bed on that spot to the top of the rain barrel.  She now had both water to maintain her flowers and small raised bed in which to plant the flowers she thought she would loose.
