Skywalks equal more money
One thing that would really help the twin cities tourism is if they could just warm it up in that area. There are many winter attractions in Minnesota, but most of the winter attractions in the cities are held indoors where it is warm and cozy. Global warming may be just the ticket for that area of the nation. Now Minneapolis did build a skywalk system a few years back, kind of an enclosed sidewalk above the streets, that did improve moving around the downtown area. When you can keep the shoppers warm they are more likely to spend more money.
