Dogs and Cats

For five years we’ve had a miniature doxen and two small cats. The dog is actually smaller than both of the cats and seems to make up for that by constantly barking at them. Training your dog to get a long with a cat is possible.  The cat’s ignore him and only occasionally swipe with their claws or hiss in his direction. One interesting thing about having both a dog and cats is their food dishes. They each have their own but more often than not they choose to steal off of one another’s, the dog often eating the cat’s wet and dry food. Our dog however does not like any of the myriad of treats we buy him. It’s not typical dog behavior to shun gourmet dog snacks but he does. He will eat absolutely anything he drops on the food through, from bacon to cheese to whole vanilla cupcakes. He’ll eat anything, including cat food and dropped snacks but he refuses to eat actual dog snacks.
