Is Protein Necessary For Weight Lifters?

Most free workout routines recommend weight lifters use protein shakes in their diet to help them recover faster after their daily routines.  However, is it necessary to take them?  Protein can only help weight lifters be better.  In no way does it hurt them or hurt their bodies unless it’s being overused.  Excess protein puts a lot strain on the liver and mostly on the kidneys.  Even though protein can only help weight lifters be better, it still isn’t necessary for everyone to take it.  In fact, the only type of weight lifter that I would recommend use protein is the serious weight lifter who cares more for strength and size than fitness and looks.
