How much will you pay for an iPhone app?

28 October 2008

I admit that most of my iPhone 3G apps are freebies. I’m too cheap to actually pay for apps, the iPhone 3G doesn’t have the cheapest plans out there so I have to scrimp and save. iPhone News says most iPhone apps downloaded are the free ones. Is that very surprising at all? Who will deny a free iPhone app? Especially if it’s a popular iPhone app like Tap Tap Revenge or Pac Man Lite. Most of the free apps try and get you to buy the full version. Many other apps are sponsored which I find ok, if they’re giving me an app for free I might as well have a few ads in it.

Troubleshoot to determine why your computer won’t start

28 October 2008

Computer won’t start? Fix windows errors to eliminate this problem and get on with your daily tasks. It is quite frustrating when you have a lot of work that needs to be completed on the computer, and your computer will not start. You should troubleshoot to find out what might be causing the logon problems before you can do anything about it. Different problems will require different solutions. You do not want to waste time trying to fix something that isn’t broken. Press the shift key immediately after you click on your user account. Hold the shift key until your desktop and taskbar are visible. This will stop an automatic load of programs that might be the root of the problem.

Reviews Of The Best Registry Cleaner Software

27 October 2008

There are several great registry cleaner software programs available that will help you cut through the clutter in your Windows registry.  Figuring out which cleaner to get can be a challenge, and that’s why I strongly urge people to read some registry cleaner reviews for more information on which programs are considered the best.  I personally suggest looking at RegCure and Registry Mechanic.

How can a registry cleaner help you out?  The registry is a very important part of your computer.  It’s also prone to getting damaged, cluttered, and corrupted.  The thing is, it’s almost impossible to clean the registry by hand.  This is why it’s a very good idea wot get yourself some good registry cleaner software.

I Can’t Wait Until We Get Our New Satellite Broadband Service.

25 October 2008

I am so sick of having slower than slow dial up service for our internet connection. I finally convinced my mother to fork over the extra cash so we can get satellite broadband. I have lived with her now for about three years helping to take care of her and I have been going crazy with dial up. I used to have satellite and I loved it so when I moved in with her it was like going back in time to the stone age or something. I was finally able to have her let me hook us up to broadband and I can’t wait.

A solution for new iPods and older cars

20 October 2008

So you just bought the new iPhone 3G, or the 4th generation iPod Nano, or the 2nd generation iPod Touch. Now you want to connect it to your car. But it isn’t compatible. Why so? Well iPod Blog wanted to find out how to alleve this problem and they might have just found the answer. Scosche has just introduced their Passport, which utilizes a female pass-through connector, which will attach to any in-car iPod-integration system to charge all iPhone and iPod models. According to Scosche, the reason why people have been having problems connecting their new iPod or iPhone to their car is because the new iPods or iPhones need only a 5V connection. But most’s of the car models utilize 12V. Thus the iPod would play, but it won’t charge.

Birthday Time

20 October 2008

I have never been the best at making sure people have the right presents for their birthday.  In fact I often times will forget peoples birthdays all together.  However, this year I have made it my new years resolution to not only remember peoples birthdays, but to make sure that they all get gifts.  Since I am out of the ordinary, I want to make sure that the presents I buy them will be out of the ordinary.  I found this gadget store online that has tons of great ideas that should work perfectly for my friends and family members.

First Look: Mega-Venom from ‘Web of Shadows’

19 October 2008

I went by the Activision offices in Santa Monica the other day to check out a half-dozen upcoming releases and there’s amazing stuff on the way. But nothing seized my attention quite like “Spider-Man: Web of Shadows,” the new free-roaming game that lets a player wear either the traditional red-and-blue Spidey suit or the his “dark side” black suit, which comes with some different capabilities (for instance, the ebony look gives the hero that oily-looking tentacle power instead of old-fashioned webbing; also, the classic red-suit Spidey is more nimble, the black Spidey is stronger).

The premise of the game according to Nintendo DS Blog: Spider-Man suspects a mysterious infection is on the loose in New York City but then realizes that infection is actually a nefarious invasion. Venom has cloned himself and his symbiotes are turning citizens of the Big Apple into zombie-like minions. There are loads of heroes and villains in the game, among them Rhino, Vulture, Luke Cage, Kingpin, Black Widow and Moon Knight, and they get mighty interesting when they get the Venom juice flowing into their personalities, especially Wolverine. Oh yes, there’s also a fearsome beastie called Mega Venom, and here is the first look at him.

DVD Duplicators: An Excellent Tool For Everyone.

19 October 2008

A few years ago, our family had their first large reunion in years.

It was a great time for many relatives, some who hadn’t seen each other in decades, to have an opportunity to exchange their stories.

Words cannot adequately describe the joy many people felt.

During the reunion, one of my uncles did a great job of recording many of the events and interactions on video.

I’m not sure how many hours he documented but it was quite a few.

After the reunion, he transferred all the video to DVD and then distributed copies to everyone who wanted one.

It took him awhile, but had it not been for his DVD Duplicator, it would have taken him much longer.

GHWT launch DLC exclusive to X360

17 October 2008

Activision has announced plans to release a bunch of premium downloadable content for the Xbox 360 version of Guitar Hero World Tour during its first week of release. (UPDATE: Activision has clarified the original release, which was slightly ambiguous. Only the REM content mentioned below will be 360-exclusive. Original story continues below in tragic error.)

Songs from REM, Boston, Foreigner, Rick Springfield and Blind Melon, along with a pair of original Guitar Duel tunes, will all be exclusive to 360 for two weeks from 30th October, and then sold on PlayStation Store as well.

Activision has still yet to confirm the Guitar Hero World Tour release date for Europe, but our money’s on 7th November.

So, the tracks to which Xbox 360 Blog owners have exclusive buying privileges for a fortnight from the 30th, then, are headlined by an REM Track Pack, consisting of three songs from new album Accelerate - “Horse to Water”, “Man-Sized Wreath” and “Supernatural Superserious”. All three can be bought separately too.

Then there’s the Classic Rock Track pack, featuring “Rock and Roll Band” by Boston, “Hot Blooded” by Foreigner and “Jessie’s Girl” by Rick Springfield, while “No Rain” by Blind Melon is man enough to be sold on its own.

Finally, Activision notes that original compositions by Ted Nugent and Zakk Wylde for Guitar Duels will be free at launch, although this presumably means that the songs are in GHWT as Duels and will be opened up for general play through this download.
