Using planters containers in your garden gives you the flexibility to change your garden each season. The best plants to use for these containers change along with the seasons. Burst into spring with bulbs that are pre-chilled or that were planted during the fall. Azaleas and lilacs are also good selections. During the summer, you can have ornamental grasses, miniature roses, petunias, and marigolds. You will not fall backward if you change your planters to impatiens, asters, mums, or even heather during the crisp autumn months. Evergreens such as boxwood, juniper, wintergreen and pivet are perfect during the long winter months.
