Last month I got promoted into my first management job. My first assignment was to make a presentation about the department I would be heading up. One of the most well known and beloved of the Hudson River School is Asher B. Durand’s Kindred Spirits. This sweeping panoramic painting is on display in New York City’s Public Library. The chance of receiving a cold shoulder or being completely ignored can happen so don’t take it too personally.
