You need to get your name off of the bankruptcy mailing list.

A lot of people file for bankruptcy. Some have experienced difficulties due to injuries and illnesses that kept them from working. Some have experienced difficulties simply because they overspent and could not afford to pay for the things they purchased. If you have filed for bankruptcy, and you are one of the people whose spending habits led to it, you need to get your name off of the bankruptcy mailing list. Once you file for bankruptcy, you name is added to a mailing list. This list is purchased by companies who are willing to extend credit to those who have filed for bankruptcy. They do this because they know that you cannot file for bankruptcy again for several years. If they give you credit, you will have to pay them, and they can charge outrageously high interest rates, since you are considered a credit risk. Getting your name off of the list will eliminate the temptation that you will have to revert back to your old spending habits.
