Music, deodorant and significant hair braiding skills!
What about money when you go to a festival. You’re going to need it for food, drinks and henna tattoos, but how can you minimise the risk? The insurance people mentioned in the article “Don’t be a festival victim” suggest taking out small amounts from the cashpoint and to ensure your ATM card is securely locked away when not in use. By that they DON’T mean in your back pocket or inside your sleeping bag. Assume your tent is not a secure hiding place for valuables and you shouldn’t go far wrong!
Leave your snazzy camera at home. It could get lost, broken or stolen at the festival, being the manic environment it is, especially in the beer tent! While you’re at it, unpack your MP3 player too! You are going to a music festival…you will not need any more music.
All you really need at a pop music festival is music (they provide that) a can of deodorant and hair braiding skills.
