My husband and I are trying to retire early. We took out a second mortgage and a home equity loan to put our daughter through college and medical school. We want to pay off our first mortgage, second mortgage, and home equity loan. We want to have one monthly payment, and we are hoping that it will be lower than the three payments combined. Home refinancing could be just the answer we are looking for. We may be able to meet our financial goals with home refinancing.
