Aptera Typ-1

If I lived in California I know what vehicles I’d be getting as my next vehicles.  I’d be getting on the waiting list for the Aptera Typ-1 (the hybrid model) as soon as possible. This car, actually classified as a motorcycle, gets up to 300mpg for the first 100 miles.  Take that Prius.  Not only is it very cool looking, it’s also very functional.  It’s rounded and cool look actually has a very important purpose.  It’s designed to have as little wind drag as possible.  They’ve even gone so far as to replace the mirrors with cameras to cut down on wind resistance.  I’m just wondering where the heck all the major car manufacturers have been since they certainly have the resources to produce something like this faster than a little upstart like Aptera.
