Where can I find out more about these?

I am really interested in finding out more about the different world musical instruments. I really only know about the most common musical instruments that are used here in the US. I am especially interested in the different musical instruments used in currently popular music since it seems like a lot of musicians are now using less common instruments to add something different to their music. Is there a good website I could go to where I could learn about the different world musical instruments and their use and history? I think it would be really interesting to study this.
