Simon small photographer

My name is Simon Small and I am an amateur photographer based in Milton Keynes, a centrally located City in Buckinghamshire, England.  About one year ago I purchased my first Digital SLR camera, a Canon EOS400D, as an early 40th birthday present to myself. Why? I have always had an interest in Photography but haven’t really explored photographing seriously, mainly as I only had point and shoot compact cameras. Though these have improved vastly in image quality and pixel quantity, whilst also seriously dropping in price in recent years, they have never satisfied my creative urges. Typically they are too slow in responding and have a limited focal range. So I was always dreaming of shots but was unable to capture them. Compacts though are great for putting in your pocket and are easy to use. Digital SLR cameras though have the flexibility and whilst not cheap they are in the realms of affordability.
