The most challenging thing I have faced, is keeping up with the growing business trends and running my business at the same time. I am a busy woman, and have little to no time to read lengthy books on business to keep up with the business Joneses. I knew I needed to find a way to keep up, and keep my business running without missing a beat. I was recently at my local Chamber of Commerce meeting and out of the blue, one of the members brought up the very subject of these same challenges I was facing. What timing! A couple of the members mentioned a resource with business book summaries that saved them time and money in their businesses. I gave this some thought, subscribed, and I am now running up to par and well above the local averages of the other businesses.

I have been reading about the benefits of silk bedding, and in addition to the health aspects, I found one that appeals to my lazy side. Silk duvets require less cleaning than a conventional duvet. This is because the natural silk is an inhospitable environment for dust mites and other bacteria, which means they are inherently cleaner. And hanging the duvet out in the sun for a few hours a couple of times a year will give it sufficient airing as well as producing a fuller and softer feeling. Not only to I save energy (mine included), but I also save water.

When Christmas comes it’s time to raise the dessert bar. I love making things like Red Velvet Cake with Buttercream Icing, White Chocolate Cake and my grandmother’s Old Fashioned Fudge.  I’m also learning some new Christmas dessert ideas for this year, such as white chocolate bark with walnuts, dried apricots and cranberries, Strawberry triffle and fleur de sel caramels. Of course I’ll be making our annual batch of Mrs. Field’s Chocolate Chip Cookies and stuffed dates for my dad. There are many recipes that I enjoy cooking with my mother that we’re also teaching my daughter. We want my daughter to have all these recipes to pass down to her daughter someday.

Old school hip hop and rap were songs that were simply meant to bring a party up and get the crowd dancing. Party rhymes remain part of the hip hop culture today. These lyrics rank from being simply sexy to being pretty profane. Ten there are the political songs. These are the ones with lyrics that are describing the way it is in the “hood” or what is going on in the street. No matter the lyrics, though, one thing is for certain. Rappers of today are quite ingenious in the way they get their point across.

Then if the dresses are too big you can have them altered for your post-pregnancy body and continue to wear them. These make for cheap maternity clothes.

It was the summer of 2004 and my friends and I needed new hobbies because we were growing bored of our hobbies that we grew so used to the previous summer. As always I was sitting at home watching old movies we my friend came up to my window to squirt me with a water gun. I then took off my shirt and ran outside to chase my friend when I saw some people across the street laughing apparently at my small muscles. I then convinced my friend to help me build some muscles. He suggested that I purchase some small weights and start lifting. After he witnessed my progress he decided to join me in my weight lifting. After a few weeks our little hobby became a wager. He won the wager of lifting 200 pounds in two weeks because he was stronger than me. He did not boast but only congradulated me on my muscle gaining success
